Scope of this policy
Storing or accessing information in your browser falls under chapter 9, section 28 of the Electronic Communications Act, including localStorage rather than cookies. Only the consent choice is essential in our system. Preferences and remembered map choices are off by default. We are not adding analytics.
Consent and withdrawal
Accept all enables preferences and remembered map choices. Reject all disables both; essential storage of the decision remains. Manage settings lets you choose separately. Consent lasts 12 months or until the version changes. Cookie settings on every page opens the same panel to change or withdraw consent. If browser storage is blocked, the choice cannot be remembered and you will be asked on your next visit.
Google and other browser storage
LunchSpin sets no cookies and does not use IndexedDB. The site uses localStorage for the keys in the table and sessionStorage for the page's scroll position. Restaurant photos load directly from Google (lh3.googleusercontent.com), which receives your IP address. Google Maps is shown only after you click. Your browser may cache photos and other files under its own cache settings.
Google Maps
The legacy lunchspin:maps-consent choice is deleted and replaced by Third-party content (Google Maps) in lunchspin:consent. Maps never load before a click to show them, even if you chose Always show maps. Once shown, Google may set its own cookies; Google determines their lifetimes. You can choose Show map once without saving a map preference. Reject this category to return to Ask each time. Withdrawing here cannot delete cookies on Google's domain; use your browser settings for those.

Restaurant details are fetched from Google through our server. Photos load from Google in your browser, so your IP address reaches Google. The Hanken Grotesk font is hosted on our own site, so no font requests go to Google. Maps are click-to-load.
